Sergei Obraztsov International Puppet Theatre Festival

The XII International Puppet Theatre Festival named after Sergei Obraztsov will be held under the title “Technologies behind the Miracle” and will be dedicated to the Decade of Science and Technology. The festival will present performances with innovative stage design by outstanding Russian and international groups that preserve and develop the technology of puppet theatre.

The festival will be held in Moscow at the Obraztsov Puppet Theatre from 21 to 28 September 2023.

The festival aims to broaden the horizons in the visual world of puppetry:
- to present the best modern productions and new trends in puppet theatre;
- to present the achievements of high technologies in the puppet theatre;
- to expand the semantic field of the puppet theatre with the help of scientific knowledge;
- to attract a progressive audience and a young audience to the theatre;
- to strengthen Russia's cultural ties with foreign countries.
