Terem-teremok
Terem-teremok
Particularly important in the rod puppet is the mechanism that controls the movements of the head, the so-called gapit. In the first years of Soviet puppet theater, a huge number of gapits were used, until a mechanized gapit appeared, invented by N.F. Solntsev. And all the existing and up to this time mechanized gapits are either a direct copy of the Solntsev gapit, or a modification of it. The idea of opening the mouth while raising the head came up during the production of Terem-teremok - it was used for the Rooster character
